Three members of the little-known Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena created headlines today by attacking well-known lawyer and civil rights activate Prashant Bhushan in his chambers at the Supreme Court. Bhushan was giving an interview to news channel Times Now when a group of youth claiming to be from Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena barged in and proceeded to beat him up in front of the television cameras
Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena also claimed responsibility for the attack and said that the lawyer was beaten up because of his comments on the removal of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act from the Kashmir Valley.
“We are taking responsibility for beating Prashant Bhushan for his statement against national integrity,” Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga of Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena said. The Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena also has a Facebook page which has been inundated with hate messages since the group claimed responsibility for the attack
