Renault Pulse prices to be hiked
French car maker Renault has announced a hike in price of its Pulse premium
hatchback by 2 percent. The Pulse was launched at an introductory price of
Rs. 5.77 lakh* at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo, but after the price revision,
it will cost Rs. 5.89 lakh*. The price increase will come into effect from
March 8, 2012 so interested buyers can still head to any of the 41 Renault
dealerships across the country to buy the Pulse at the current rate.
The new price will be effective from March 8, 2012, and the hatchback will
be available across 41 dealerships across the country. Besides Pulse,
Renault also retails premium sedan Fluence and SUV Koleos in the country.
Commenting on the price increase, Marc Nassif, Managing Director, Renault
India Pvt Ltd said, “The Pulse has been received very well by our customers
and we have received a large number of enquiries from potential customers.
The Pulse represents the aspirations and needs of present day customers and
comes loaded with features which provide an extremely good value for money
proposition. In the face of rising input cost we have now no option but to
pass on a part of the cost to our customers although the Pulse still remains
as one of the most competitive in its segment on all features including the
price”.
The Renault Pulse is powered by the 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine that
develops 63bhp and is available only in two trims – a base RxL and top-
end RxZ. It was launched at the Auto Expo in January at an introductory
price of Rs 5.77 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
