Transdroid torrent app Removes From Android Market

Search engine giant Google has removed the popular torrent management app Transdroid from its Android Market app store.
According to an article on Torrent Freak, the company removed the app for certain policy violations but failed to expand any further.
Transdroid, which had more than 400,000 users in the two years it was active on Android, allows users to remotely manage their torrent downloads on the move.
Users were able to start and stop torrent downloads, search for torrent files and even use a barcode scanner to discover torrent files. The app was available in both paid and free versions from the Android Market. Earlier in late May, Engadget reported the disappearance of game emulators from Android Market. Emulators like Nesoid, Snesoid, Gensoid, N64oid, Ataroid, Gearoid and Gameboid were pulled down without warning and without any explanation, according to the developer yongzh. This points to a trend that Google is cracking the whip mercilessly on policy violators on the Android Market.
Transdroid likely won’t be MIA for long. With other apps still in the Market that offer identical functionality, a kinder, gentler screenshot (perhaps more like the ones at AndroLib) and some minor tweaking is likely all that will be required to get the app back on its pages.
