Wide Frame Pictures and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures’ Bittoo Boss is about a
wedding videographer, Bittoo (Pulkit Samrat), who is very good at making
people happy by shooting heart-warming wedding videos. Bittoo stays in a
small town in Punjab.

Directed by Supavitra Babul, the film revolves around a videographer Bittoo,
who falls in love with a rich girl.

Bittoo (Pulkit Samrat) is a self-proclaimed “Sesky Video Shooter”, and his
persona too, is just as insipid as that sobriquet sounds. Bittoo’s aim in
life is spreading happiness through his video camera, and the moments he
captures therein. We are no two-year-olds, and the outdated belief of
happiness-relived-in-rewinded-Kodak-moments no longer excites the twentieth
century crowd. Sorry, but the ‘Sesky Video Shooter’ is hardly sexy and does
nothing to shoot the numerous yawns that cloud the faces of the viewers
inside the theatre.

'Bittoo Boss' has a fascinating premise, it appears bona fide as well, but
not all concepts expand into entrancing fares. One anticipates a skillfully
textured rom-com with flesh-and-blood characters, but what one gets to watch
are caricatures. The slipup lies in its incoherent and erratic screenplay: the
conflict doesn't work, the love story lacks fizz and the drama lacks the power
to influence you.

BLOOD MONEY is about a young and simple man, Kunal Kadam (Kunal Khemu)
who is in love with Arzoo (Amrita Puri), however her parents do not allow
her to marry him, as he is unsuccessful.The two run away and get married,
and move to Cape Town. There, Kunal starts to work in a small business of
diamond-exporting. However, Kunal has no idea that he is being taken into
the underworld slowly!

The initial plot is the same old Bollywood story of a guy and a girl in
love, but with opposition from the girl’s parents, and then the couple
running away to get married. Yes, that is how the story of Blood Money
unfolds. Kunal is a simple man in love with Arzoo, but they can’t get
married because her parents don’t approve of the match, as Kunal is
unsuccessful. However, the duo elopes and gets married, and shifts base
to Cape Town. But hold on!

Now for the ignorant, selling diamonds brings in money and bartering arms
for diamonds brings in blood money. That said, Kunal spends little time in
getting red-handed and rakes home tuckloads of the second word in the title.
Next, a song that markets Cape Town tourism, diamond retailing and the idea
that money (bloody or not) can buy happiness, designer clothes and extras
to dance along with you and make you look comparatively better at it.

Clutching her stroller in one hand, the other tightly gripping her passport
and a bottle of Evian, a very pregnant Vidya Bagchi steps out of Kolkata
international airport, and almost immediately appears lost, even as half a
dozen cabbies heckle her for business.

Sujoy Ghosh returns with this product and his re-entry is welcomed by the
cinegoers. The luminous filmmaker enticed the viewers with his unique subject
in Jhankar Beats and the film did well among the audiences. But he could not
raise the spirits of the cinema lovers with other flicks – Home Delivery and
Aladin. Now he makes comeback with the recent released ‘Kahaani’. The movie’s
promotion was done handsomely and Sujoy took the advantage of Vidya Balan’s
current worth in the industry and among the viewers post the brilliantly
successful The Dirty Picture. There is no doubt that Ghosh’s Kahaani is
taking the positive edge of Vidya Balan’s importance and likeability. But
we cannot say that Sujoy’s Kahaani is brilliant just because of the presence
of Balan – no, this is not the scene at all. Ghosh’s Kahaani is a well-made,
well-scripted and laced with classy performances flick that is potentially a
classy finished good to buy ticket for.

However, Rana (Parambrata Chattopadhyay), an assistant sub-inspector, takes
interest in the case and travels with Vidya to various places in Kolkata in
order to find clues that can lead them to Arnab Bagchi.

There is more than meets the eye and that's the beauty of this film. It treats
deceit like a heartbeat on which it throbs and thrills. To discuss the plot any
further would potentially spoil the fun of what is best enjoyed with bare
minimum information.

But thankfully Kahaani doesn't come unhinged. The first-rate performances help
steer it to shore - from Vidya Balan to Parambrata Chattopadhyay to Nawazuddin
Siddiqui who plays a hard-nosed IB agent and Saswata Chatterjee who plays the
insurance agent. Balan, quite effortlessly, manages to be both vulnerable and
resilient. So despite the loopholes, Kahaani fulfills what it sets out to do
and keeps you hooked and guessing. Which in itself is no small accomplishment.

Not to forget about the music of the film. The entire music is composed by
Vishal – Shekharhe title track and Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Ekla Cholo Re’ are
really mesmerising.,The background score however blends well and that is why
you can hardly distinguish it in many crucial scenes

Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya hits the screens today. The film was much in talks
due to the vivid fact of the grand marriage of Ritiesh Deshmukh and Genelia
D’ Souza that took place earlier this month. The viewers were eager to
watch the real life couple romancing on screen. An entertainer, Tere Naal
Love Ho Gaya is a love saga of a couple. A Tips production, the film is
directed by Mandeep Kumar. People often get anxious to watch the real life
couples on screen and the same happened with this product, which dragged
the people to the theaters just because of the fact of the leading couple’s
marriage. Well, the makers got advantage of Ritiesh and Genelia’s marriage.

Bhatti [Tinnu Anand] is keen to get his daughter Mini [Genelia Deshmukh]
married. He even chooses a guy who, he thinks, will keep his daughter happy
thanks to his riches. In the meantime, Viren [Riteish Deshmukh] feels Bhatti
has swindled him of his hard-earned money and confronts Bhatti in an
intoxicated state. Seizing the opportunity of escaping from the situation
[of marrying a guy she barely knows], Mini flees with Viren, making the
episode look as if Viren has kidnapped Mini. Gradually, a romance develops
between the unlikely couple.

The film is predictable so far. And by the intermission you realise that
the plot is over. Boy kidnapped girl, girl is in love with boy, boy is in
love with girl, both can't tell each other, the ransom is arriving. You
expect the second half to be a sappy journey of expression of love etc.
But the film takes a twist and the duo now land up in Viren's ancestorial
home, under the supervision of his astranged family -- Father (Puri) who
is a professional kidnapping kingpin, mother (jaykar), a sister, a set of
pehelwaans and more.

The film primarily works thanks to the convincing chemistry and performances
by the lead pair. Riteish Deshmukh is resourcefully restrained, perfectly
poised and, needless to say, his comic timing is impeccable. At the same time
he allows Genelia to take lead as the film largely revolves around her
character. And Genelia does complete justice to her meaty role with a
refreshing and dynamic act. Her cute looks and electrifying smile add to her
appeal. From the character cast, Om Puri gets the best lines and induces
frequent laughter. Chitrashi Rawat and Navin Prabhakar are wasted. Veena
Malik's item number was avoidable.

"We are very happy today for Esha and Bharat. It is a

happy moment for all of us. Bharat is a very nice person. It is a private function," Hema, 63, told reporters here.

An ecstatic Esha, 29, said, "I am happy and I thank everyone for their blessings."

Hema Malini is very pleased with her daughter’s choice. When asked about what he likes most about her would be son-in-law, she said, “The fact that he loves my daughter! The common man might have upgraded from newspapers to television and cinema. But his
chronicle continues to remain common. In a country governed by corruption, the common
man is still ruled by red-tapism. The maximum that he can do is hurl a shoe at
bureaucracy or slap the system. And that's precisely what the hero of the film does.
Beyond that he and his story are as powerless as the common man.

Sure, in an age of citizen candidates (this year the BMC polls in Mumbai are seeing
an unprecedented number of citizen candidates), there is some hope, but each political
party looks as corrupt as the other. In short, Gali Gali Chor Hai holds true.

The makers of the above movie held a screening exclusively for the great Gandhian, Anna
Hazare in his hometown. The screening earned them their fair share of newsprint, because
'anything with Anna sells,' and naturally, the Gandhian was inspired by this film. We
wonder why?

Gali Gali Chor Hai Review: Direction & Music

Rumi Jafri’s direction, limited as it is by the script, is just about fair. Not just the
script but the narrative style also would appeal to the audience in small centres and not
to the city folk. Anu Malik’s music is quite alright. The Chhanno song, written by Swanand
Kirkire, is mass-appealing whereas the title track is quite inspirational, more so for its
lyrical value (Rahat Indori). Song picturisations (by Ahmed Khan) are functional, the
‘Chhanno’ number being the only one which stands out. Kailash Kher appears in the title
song. Gururaj Jois’ camerawork is mediocre. The choreography of action scenes by Bhiku
Verma is okay. A. Muthu’s editing is alright.

“‘Gali Gali Chor Hai’ has been in the news because of lot of reasons but as a composer I
can tell you that the music is really being appreciated seven days back when we released
it and the title Gali Gali Chor Hai, Chhanno and Suno Suno has become new hits and I have
been getting positive feedbacks,” Anu Malik said.

Underworld Awakening’ Review

Underworld 4 looks and feels like an extended TV episode, rather than a big-budget feature film.
This is mainly due to the amateurish direction of Swedish duo Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein, whose
primary experience is in directing TV, as it so happens. The film is nothing more than a string
of action sequences and cheap set-pieces, often shot at wide angles that reveal the elementary
(and by now, routine) fight choreography. Cheap CGI effects make the blood spatter, superhuman
feats and supernatural creatures look no better than something you might see on an episode of
Supernatural or True Blood.

Underworld: Awakening is directed by Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein and stars Kate Beckinsale,
Stephen Rea, Michael Ealy, Theo James, India Eisley and Charles Dance.

Kate Beckinssle is the new wonder woman. She thinks about her hybrid lover even while dodging the
bullets. Start counting the number of people rather living beings and you will learn the counting
till thousand at least. Killing, killing, and more killing. Spare me.

Watch the film if you've been a fan of the franchise, but be prepared for a lot of ho-hum moments
between the actions sequences. And if slashing, biting and stabbing floats your boat, you might
just end up enjoying this one. Sadly, my boat is still struggling to stay afloat.

Saif Ali Khan's most ambitious film till date -- Agent Vinod -- is finally gearing up for release after several roadbloacks.

The long-delayed Saif Ali Khan production venture Agent Vinod has been completed and the film will release on March 23. Director Raghavan revealed that the celebrity couple - Saif and Kareena Kapoor - shot for the last day of Agent Vinod on December 24.

Eros wanted the audience to guess the name of the movie. The press statement released by Eros International reads, “Here’s the first look teaser poster of one of the most awaited films of this year, from Eros International. We are not revealing which film - will leave it to you all to guess. We will be officially revealing the name soon. We will be back soon with the next set of visuals for this film.”

Agent Vinod is an upcoming action spy film written and directed by Sriram Raghavan. Saif Ali Khan is featured in the title role with Kareena Kapoor. Saif Ali Khan is also producing the film under his banner Illuminati Films.

The film is set to release on March 23, 2012.

Thirumurthy (Madhavan), who is scared of any sort of violence, is tricked by younger brother
Gurumurthy (Arya) into taking up the job of a sub-inspector after their father dies in harness.

After Thiru is unwittingly put in the line of fire at his first posting in Thoothukudi, Guru
arrives to help him handle the various goons that inhabit the port city and run various illegal
operations. Thiru becomes the cynosure of all eyes and rises in stature after Guru does all the
grunt work for him, but it is only a matter of time before Annachi (Ashutosh Rana) finds out the
truth about the brothers and unleashes all his henchmen at them.

The film was released in over 550 screens across the globe and stands out to be one of the
biggest releases. USA, Canada, Australia, Germany and Holland are some of the countries that
screened the film. The film hit as many as 300 screens in Tamil Nadu alone.

Speaking with a leading daily, Aarya has opened up on the the much-talked kissing scenes in
Vettai. The actor says that it was hard from his part to do the kissing scenes in front of the
film unit. Adding to that he says the close shots gave an embarrassing time. However, it was
shot in a natural way and the audience have liked it.

Gurumoorthy comes into the unknown picture of knocking down the baddies, completing the
mission that was assigned to Thiru and he earns praise and respect in department. But when
the roughnecks at poles apart find out that Thiru isn’t what he seems to be, they smash him

The trailers of “Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu”, “Talaash”, “Rowdy Rathore”,
“Agent Vinod” and “Tezz” will release alongside the Hrithik
Roshan-starrer when it releases Jan 26.

The combination of Venkatesh and Trisha is enough to generate interest and also provide the recipe
for success. The hit pair is back once again. This time it is with a remake film. Bodyguard is a
remake of the Malayalam film. Let us see if the director has made any changes or remained loyal
to the original story.

After nearly a year, the superstar's Bodyguard releases on January 14. The Malayalam original
has seen many versions -- including Salman Khan's Hindi version -- and this Telugu one is
directed by Gopichand Malineni.

In this exclusive interview with Radhika Rajamani at Rama Naidu studios, Venkatesh waxes
eloquent about Bodyguard and also talks about his new projects.
