Netflix Incress Price Today

Netflix today started offering a bare-bones DVD plan as it increased the prices of its DVD-and-streaming plans.
The company’s new $7.99-per-month plan, offered at a new page on the Netflix site, allows users to have one DVD out a time on an unlimited basis. According to a Netflix salesperson  , those who want to include Blu-ray discs in the new plan will need to pay $9.99 per month. Internet streaming of video content is not included. If customers want two DVDs out at a time, they will need to pay $11.99 per month.
While the changes applied to new customers immediately, the new plans didn’t affect existing customers until Sept. 1. If you’re on a combined plan and want to avoid a fee increase, you’ll need to change to a streaming-only plan or a DVD-only plan before your next bill. For many customers, that means today. Those who are billed later in the month still have some wiggle room.

Netflix claimed that the 60% price increase was required to keep the DVD rental side of the business profitable. The company also internally separated streaming and DVD into their own divisions for better management and growth. Hopefully this change, along with the increase in price, will allow Netflix to grow and expand the streaming library. I’m getting rather tired of watching the same Power Rangers episodes over and over again.
