Ek Deewana Tha music CDs set to hit the stands this weekend
Fox Star India is releasing the much awaited audio CDs of the movie Ek Deewana Tha on January 6, 2012.
The music of the film was officially launched against the backdrop of the magnificent Taj Mahal on
December 21, 2011. The music has received rave reviews from the critics as well as music lovers.
Also, after taking a look at some more reviews, I think it would be better to mention that I have not
heard Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya and hence the review is from the perspective of a person who has NOT
heard the original album, and listening to all the tunes for the first time.
Composed by India’s musical pride and joy, A.R.Rahman and written by Javed Akhtar the release saw the
likes of Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson who feature in the film, AR Rahman who appeared on stage
looking his usual humble self in a black shirt and a grey overcoat, Javed Akhtar looking cool as
always and many more.
EDT has 12 tracks and features the vocal talents of Clinton Cerejo (‘Kya Karoon’ – Wake Up Sid),
Shreya Ghosa (‘Chikni Chameli’ – Agneepath), Javed Ali (‘Guzarish’ – Ghajini), Naresh Iyer
(‘Robaroo’ – Rang De Basanti) and Rahman himself amongst others.
