Amazon India is Junglee.com Launch in India

MediaNama has learned from multiple, reliable sources that Amazon is launching in India as Junglee.com.
At the time of writing this report, Junglee.com doesn’t load, but sources in at least two Amazon partners
have confirmed the development. The company, as we had reported in November, is expected to launch a
marketplace, with partnerships with multiple Indian e-commerce ventures, and merely facilitate
transactions for them. More details here. Amazon is not yet allowed to set up a front end Multi-brand
retail store, and foreign direct investment in India has only been allowed for single brand retail
operations.

"With the new service, consumers in India will find it easier to find what they are looking for. When
a customer decides to make a purchase, he or she will be directed to either amazon.com or to the website
of a seller. The ultimate purchase will happen on the seller's website," he added.

With Junglee, Amazon has an ambition “of organizing selection and buying options to make it simple for
customers to find anything using Junglee.” The site’s about us page mentions product categories include
more than 90 lakh books, and 30 lakh products from more than 14,000 Indian and global brands. Junglee
features more than 25 categories including mobile phones, cameras, toys & games, baby products, books,
music, movies & TV, clothing, jewellery, kitchen & home products. You can discover a wide range of
products from bestsellers to unique products such as a 27.12 carat diamond or a Porsche Carrera
Gt – 3666 1:18 miniature model.

Amazon is  not declare officially launch in India. But Leading site annouce this on yahoo.com and
