Audi TT Coupe Launched

Audi TT Coupe Launched

German Luxury car maker Audi launched its sports car TT in India, at a
starting price of Rs. 48.36 lakh (ex-showroom). Audi will start selling
the car from June this year and it will be sold as a completely built
unit (CBU). The price is announced considering the 2012 budget.

Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, has silently launched the 2012
model of the much popular Audi TT sports car in India. The car’s launch
was announced today in Mumbai and the TT will be available at all the
Audi dealerships across India in June 2012.

The 2012-13 Budget has certainly caused quite a bit of a stir amongst
car manufacturers in India making it that much harder for luxury and
sports car manufacturers the likes of Audi to run a profitable business
going into the new financial year.

The body of the TT Coupé is based on hybrid Audi Aluminum Space Frame
(ASF) technology. Lightweight aluminum is used at the front of the car
back to the B-pillar, with steel panels used at the rear. The mix makes
it possible to finely balance the axle loads and keep the overall weight
low.

Audi India, a part of the European auto major Volkswagen Group, sells
various models in India such as premium sedans A4, A6 and A8, sports
utility vehicles Q5 and Q7, and sports cars RS5 Coupe, R8 and R8 Spyder.
